When I saw the trailer for Pan’s Labyrinth, I jumped up from my seat and screamed "Labyrinth 2" hoping the David Bowie would reprise his role as Jareth the Goblin King… After everyone around me stopped giving me dirty looks, I sat back down to enjoy whatever movie I was going to see.
Last night I went to see Pan’s Labyrinth with a friend and… wow! The movie was great on so many levels, the story, the photography, the imagery, the emotions it evoked… It was beautiful and surreal and yet, at the same time, it was easy to follow. The movie was in Spanish, subtitled in English and though I know a lot of people don’t "go to the movies to read" (God forbid you accidentally fire some neurons, you prick), by the time you get into the movie, you almost forget that it’s subtitled.
Definitely a must see! It’s a great movie!
