Wow. What an intense week — and the week is not even over yet! I arrived to Washington State with no incident, and in the next few days I got a rental car, a temporary house, and picked up my Rachel. Redmond is, if possible, even more beautiful this time around. I’m still trying to convince myself that I’m here to stay , that I’m not going back east after six months like all those other times.
Today we went appartment shopping and found an awesome place! It’s larger, better, cooler, and cheaper than what I had in back home… just wow. We’re giving them the deposit tomorrow and will move in there ASAP. We’re both very excited.
Now, about XBox Live… Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. It’s amazing. There’s an XBox hooked up to a 30-something inch TV in my office. Yup, that’s my TV. It’s freaking sweet. The only one with a larger TV is my boss’ boss. Naturally, I can’t talk about what I’m doing, but I can say that so far it’s everything I’ve ever hoped it was. MS reeeeeealy knows how to keep its employees happy. Given the chance, I’d recommend anyone who has the opportunity to work for them to do so.
I don’t have internet access at home yet, so I’m posting from my office… I haven’t gotten AIM to work yet… but MSN Messanger seems to work fine (interesting…), so if you want to say “Hi,” get Messanger or one of those clients that lets you do AIM, MSN, Y!, etc.
Anyway, that’s all for now. There’s still so much to do and so little time to do it in. I’ll post pictures when I can.
